Missed Bin Uplifts & Bulk Collections
The Association is aware of the current issues in the Yorkhill area regarding missed general waste bin uplifts, recycling bin uplifts and bulk uplifts taking more than 28 day target.
It is resident’s responsibility to report bulk or missed bins to Glasgow City Council however staff carrying out their estate management inspections have photographed and recorded condition of backcourts and binstores. Staff have reported issues to the Cleansing Department and highlighted issues to Local Councillors.
It is the responsibility of Glasgow City Council Cleansing Department to collect general waste, recycling and bulk. This service is paid for by all residents through their council tax.
Therefore we would urge residents to contact Glasgow City Council to report any missed bin collections or out of date bulk collections. You can do so by phone on 0141 287 9700 / 0141 287 2000 or via their website https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/ContactUs.
The Association will continue to carry out inspections and liaise with Glasgow City Council to resolve the current issues.
