Freedom of Information

From 11 November 2019 Yorkhill Housing Association is designated as a Scottish Public Authority through the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (Designation of Persons as Scottish Public Authorities) Order 2019. In line with this we will make information available in accordance with the Order and through the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

Under Freedom of Information, the Association will give information to anyone within the scope of the order who requests it, unless there is an exemption in law; or the information should be provided though an alternative route - for example, the ‘Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations’.

You can ask for a variety of information, some examples being: how or why decisions are made, complaints handling and performance.

The Association is committed to being open and transparent, and has a duty to respond to requests, publish information and advise/assist requesters.
