Retirement Complex Bus Trip

The committee of the retirement complex residents' group organised a festive bus trip for its residents to visit the Edinburgh Christmas Markets on Thursday!

The group has been hard at work fundraising for various events including a quiz, bingo, and soon a cinema night - a big outing to Edinburgh was warmly welcomed by residents.

After a wander through the market, picking up some last minute gifts, the group returned home via the villages of Lanarkshire to see the Christmas lights - a visit to Allanton Church was a particular highlight. Residents met up afterwards for a chippy and a natter to get in the mood for the festive period!

A big thanks to the residents' group committee for organising the trip, and to Maryhill Community Central Hall for the excellent transport!
