Public Holiday 15th June (World Cup)
Yorkhill Housing Association has decided not to close for the additional Public Holiday on 15th June. Our office will remain open.

Our Management Committee and Senior Management Team discussed First Minister John Swinney’s announcement, and His Majesty King Charles’ Royal Proclamation, of a public holiday on 15 June 2026 in celebration of the Scottish Men’s National Team reaching the 2026 World Cup Finals.
Like most of the Scottish social housing sector, our public holidays are set by a Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) between EVH (Employers in Voluntary Housing) and the Unite union. The JNC added this date to the sector’s list of public holidays; however, it left the decision on whether or not to implement the day to individual housing associations and co-operatives.
The Committee and staff team agreed that, in light of our four-day week pilot, we would not implement this additional public holiday and will therefore remain open on this date.
