Good Neighbour Award Winner 2025

This year we ran a Good Neighbour Award competition, asking our tenants to tell us of anyone that helped out their local community, or made their lives a bit brighter. We received 12 nominations and the staff found it difficult to choose!

After long deliberations the winner was announced as Christine Harley of Arthur Street! Dominic who nominated her said she has been a constant source of help, and great conversation, since he moved in 15 years ago!

Christine was there at times of emergencies, helps out with petsitting, and never forgets his son's birthday! Dominic said "she is a first class neighbour, and my family and I are very grateful to know her".

Grant Kennedy, Deputy Chief Executive, delivered her trophy, and a gift certificate, to congratulate her on winning. Grant said "we had some brilliant nominations for this award, it was really pleasing to see how many people helped bring a community spirit to Yorkhill. Christine's nomination shone through, and it shows Christine is a brilliant neighbour". 

Everyone at Yorkhill Housing Association congratulates Christine on a well deserved win! 

We will aim to run the competition again next year - if you know of anyone who is an excellent neighbour keep an eye out for the nomination process in the autumn of 2026!
